Hello BGS NZ members.

What a year this has been. A variety of highs and lows for many people in NZ. October looks to be a turn for the better as we all move into level 1. To celebrate, and to re-connect with our fellow BGS members, we are holding the first in-person BGS networking event post lockdown.

A free complementary drink and nibbles for the evening. A great chance to meet new people and connect with fellow BGS members.

Register by clicking the ‘attend event’ button to secure your reservation.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Dear BGS New Zealand and Australia Members,

Our friends at AUT have invited us all for a special seminar series - Investigating Psychological Reactions to Covid-19 by Chris Krageloh, Associate Professor, Psychology - Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, AUT.

While governments around the world continue to work out how best to tackle the health crisis brought about by COVID-19, research has also started to investigate what psychological reactions people may have to the pandemic. A number of questionnaires have been developed to assess pandemic-related aspects of anxiety and fear. Gradually, a clearer picture is emerging about the role of these variables in motivating relevant health-promoting behaviours. Specific challenges to mental health will also need to be addressed in future research.

Seminar Date: 7th October
Time: 11am - 12:15pm NZT; 8am Sydney time
