The Beta Gamma Sigma New Zealand Alumni Chapter is proud to invite nominations for our 2026 annual awards. This is a chance to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions, creativity and impact of our members, the people across our network who are leading with purpose, uplifting communities and innovating for a better future.

Good news if you have not got your nomination in yet: we have extended the deadline. Nominations now close at midnight, Thursday 12 November 2026 (NZT).

Winners will be celebrated at the BGS NZ End of Year Event & Impact Awards on Tuesday 1 December 2026, 5.30pm to 8pm, at the University of Auckland Business School.

2026 Award Categories

• Emerging Leader Award: celebrating a young professional BGS NZ member (typically under 35) who demonstrates exceptional leadership potential and purpose-driven impact early in their career.
• Community Champion Award: recognising a BGS NZ member who is building stronger, more inclusive communities through service, advocacy or social impact.
• Inspiring Innovator Award: recognising a BGS NZ member whose bold thinking, originality and action have sparked meaningful change and inspired others.
• Sustainable Impact Award: recognising a BGS NZ member creating long-term positive impact through environmental, social or economic sustainability.

Who can be nominated?

• Beta Gamma Sigma NZ members inducted from the University of Auckland or AUT
• Aged 18 or over, and have lived in New Zealand for at least two years prior to nomination (members currently overseas for work or study are still eligible)
• The contribution or impact must be active within the past 12 months

Who can nominate?

You are welcome to nominate a fellow BGS NZ member, and self-nominations are welcome too. The only exception is active members of the judging panel, who cannot submit nominations. You can nominate someone in more than one category, and there is no fee to enter.

How to nominate

Each nomination is made through the online form for that category and includes a written submission of up to 500 words, with optional supporting material.
