WELCOME TO BGS NEW ZEALAND

Founded in 2009, the BGS New Zealand Alumni Chapter provides opportunities for students and alumni members to benefit from, and contribute to the global BGS network. This is through initiatives such as professional development workshops, service/volunteer activities, networking events, and notable speaker presentations. We believe it is important to foster and encourage the building of professional capabilities, connections, and service to others.

While BGS spans the globe and has members in more than 190 countries, we at BGS NZ recognise that New Zealand has its own unique culture, history, and ways of 'doing things.' As such, we have created this website for BGS NZ members to learn more about the NZ chapter, to stay up-to-date with events, and to engage with others.

BGS NZ ALLIANCE PARTNERS

BGS NZ has strong links within the New Zealand and international business communities. We bring together the very best talent, creativity, and innovative thinking that New Zealand has to offer.

The three BGS NZ alliance partners include:

1. Students and graduates: Students and graduates are the core of BGS; without students and graduates, BGS would not exist. At BGS, we foster student excellence while studying with guidance and mentoring opportunities. Upon graduation, BGS provides meaningful networking opportunities and learning and development events.

2. Business and communities: Working alongside businesses and local communities, BGS serves as the link between member talent (i.e., our members) and current and future business and employment needs. BGS also acts as a knowledge hub where businesses can collaborate with members to solve problems and drive community innovation initiatives.

3. Universities: We partner with universities (currently Auckland University and Auckland University of Technology) who have achieved the highly acclaimed AACSB global accreditation standard for business education. Students and graduates who are members of BGS are known and highly sought after in the business and academic worlds.
